Allure Laser Lounge first month of business exceeds their own expectations!

Christina Haeusler is a Certified Laser Technician who, over the years, has trained hundreds of students to realize their dreams of entering the beauty industry. In late 2016, Christina fulfilled one of her own dreams and opened Allure Laser Lounge & Spa.

Christina herself had been trained on a variety of expensive competitors lasers and was very likely going to choose one of them for her own business – before the Dermalase IPL was introduced to her.

To test the Dermalase, Christina had the device in her new spa for 4 days. She invited a number of past clients to try it for free so she could see the results on a wide variety of skin types for herself. A number of Christina’s past clients also had extreme sensitivity to pain and this was an ideal opportunity to learn first hand how they felt about the treatments.

“I have a customer who is hypersensitive to pain, but after treating her with the Dermalase IPL, she told me that she loved it and her opinion really mattered to me” recalls Christina. Slow, painful treatments are a thing of the past with the new IPL technology combined with the large, comfortable cooling crystal. Christina says “Another of my clients is a fireman that has had hair removal treatments before without satisfactory results. After his first treatment he was so enthusiastic that he sent me photos to show me a 70% hair reduction on the treatment area”.

Of course a new spa needs more than new equipment, it also needs customers and Christina set the stage for her success by building her customer base prior to opening her doors.

The area where she choose to open her location is not a large metropolis, so she took advantage of her small communities’ word-of-mouth network as well as social media. Christina let everyone know that she was going to open a Spa and she invited past colleagues, friends and clients to try a IPL treatment for free before her official opening date. The treatments were a success and Christina used the great response to begin pre-selling laser treatment packages.

In her first month of business, Allure Laser earned $7500 with IPL laser treatments alone

and in her second month, Christina increased her IPL treatment revenue to $9000.

“I can’t say enough good things about the Dermalase. The IPL technology is very safe, my clients love the comfort and I’m thrilled with the speed to complete each treatment” she says. “In the past, lasers used to be exclusive to medical spas. Now, at this price point it is so affordable and when you take into account all the associated costs, it’s virtually comparable to the cost of waxing.”

Even though Allure Laser Lounge & Spa has only been open for a short time, Christina already has plans to add another location and another Dermalase IPL.
